Many fitness bands on the market today do not provide users withthe ability to explore the full potential of their bands. This isdone by restricting them from accessing the raw data of thesensors. Microsoft entered the fitness band market, using a uniqueapproach which enabled users to directly access the band's sensorsthrough a development interface. The MS band data collectorapplication utilizes this feature by allowing users to store andlabel these values on their phone's local memory. This provisiontherefore allows for the efficient use of the Microsoft band andusurps its full potential.
